Speakers

FluidUI Prototyping by your meetup organizer Stephan Branczyk

Want to create a quick clickable mobile UI mockup? If you're like me, you've probably tried a number of different tools from Google Presentation and pen and paper to some the more specialized prototyping tools.

More recently, I've been using FluidUI.com for the last couple of projects and hackathons I've been going to. And no, I do not work for FluidUI in any way. You'll just be getting my perspective as a user. In this talk, I'll talk about the pros and cons of using FluidUI. I'll also talk about what's possible with their free account, which is more than sufficient for most hackathons and single projects.

Beautiful Android on a Shoestring by Chiu-Ki Chan

Want to make your app beautiful, but cannot afford a designer? Fear not, there are many easy techniques to prettify your app. Attend this class and learn how to use XML and Java to touch up your Android app with gradients and round corners, tiling background, custom font an responsive components that look different when focused and pressed. You will also learn various and free resources to incorporate into your app, such as color application.schemes, graphics, patterns and icons.

A big thanks our host Citizen Space for hosting us!
