    Question for this week.

    What is the best way to join (like in SQL) two sets of JSON objects in javascript.

    I have two object types. The first only needs to be loaded once. The other needs to be updated every 30 seconds. I want to join the "static" object list to the refreshed object list.

    "static" example.
    "positions": [
    { "symbol":"ibm" , "owner":"Scott", "quantity:100" },
    { "symbol":"ibm" , "owner":"Karl", "quantity:"500" },
    { "symbol":"ibm" , "owner":"Dan", "quantity:2" },
    { "symbol":"c" , "owner":"Scott", "quantity:10" },
    { "symbol":"c" , "owner":"Karl", "quantity:"16" }
    ] }

    To be refreshed every 30 sec.
    "prices": [
    { "symbol":"ibm" , "last:102" },
    { "symbol":"c" , "last:36" },
    ] }

    So again the web app will pull the positions JSON once then every 30 seconds or so pull the prices. I wish to then join the price to each position row without doing a for loop aka "table scan".

    Request 1: I do most of my dev work on a PC. I have a github account but haven't really gotten around to using it. I need some hand-holding and some pointers. Would somebody be available to help? Thanks. :)

      Thank you. :) I don't know why Microsoft can't be as dev-friendly as Apple or Linux. Oh, well...

      It's been a while since I've dev'd on a PC, but I've heard the GitHub application for Windows does a decent job for using Git on a Windows machine. You'll have to let me know, though :)
