Hello!
Since 2008.
Ruby and rails, short jaunt into python with Allan Downey's great books. Made a couple rails apps. My next step will be to dive deeper into unix and ruby command line apps to better understand what's going on under the rails hood.
Great question! I've been able to make such useful things -- directory, fuel oil price scraper, operating room scheduler with sms notification -- even at my advanced beginner level. My next goal is to really understand how good programs are made. I'd like to understand ruby better, unix, become more facile with rspec, make better views, apply best practices, etc., etc., etc...
