What kind of projects are you interested in? (e.g. Arduino, 3D printing, lasers, computing, security or something else?)

Work and tinker with open source, because of the wonderful freedom... although not everything works well or at all. More specifically I like the usual bores: programming, databases, network administration. Currently I try to learn Norwegian and electronics.

Tell us a little about what kind of project(s) you're playing with now!

Lately I'm interested in the working of societies: how are they modeled and by which forces. I'm losing interest in mechanical things but boy, people are complicated... Also, programming web services in Lisp and babbling in a web framework that feels good enough to tell others that I can 'do' web apps, hopefully without touching any PHP...

Which topics are you interested in learning more about, and which are you comfortable helping others with?

I'm interested in meeting Lisp hackers if at all possible. My interests also include getting better at programming/thinking with open tools and formats, as well as their standing against closed ones. Redundancy is interesting. I can offer help in getting to know Linux/FreeBSD/Solaris/ZFS/Programming (C Mainly), IRC, a little bit of networking, database design, setting up a mail server, Python is fun, how to do your backups and how to know whether they are good, ... bits and pieces of more things, ask and I'll do my best!

I'm coming near Oslo on the 9th of June 2012 on vacation for a little more than a month and would like to meet fellow geeks to chat and share interests. I hope there are people left indoors during the summer.

What Lucia is saying about this Meetup Group

Quite picturesque but well managed and tidy as these things go. Only been to one meeting but it's worth exploring further.
