Wide Open Wednesday

  • Jan 8, 2014 · 7:00 PM

Open house night working on a bunch of Network Security topics including:

Capture the flag

CTF is a battleground where sysadmins, hackers, pen-testers, and programmers compete to protect their systems and servers from other attackers within the battleground network, and work to penetrate the systems of other teams for points and prizes. The tactics, and exploits are real. Which makes this one of the best ways to learn about information security.

We will use this CTF as a basis for instructing attendees on the tools and techniques and theory used to perpetuate system defense, offensive countermeasures, and offensive attack.

This Wednesday we'll be putting our team together, and building our fortress server. And helping people get setup with VPN acccess into the battleground
