Hack Manhattan celebrates Hardware Freedom Day on April 20 after an Arduino class the same day.
Open hardware created by Hack Manhattan members will be on display:
- RepRap Prusa, Wallace and Kossel (deltabot) 3D printers
- Custom electronics designed and assembled from scratch
- A prototype of Hack Manhattan’s group interactive art project for 2013
- Demonstrations of how to create your own hardware using microcontrollers and field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs)
Also check out our introductory Arduino Workshop earlier in the day starting at 1pm. The Arduino Workshop requires a ticket that you must buy in advance. (Enter code MEETUPHM for a discount. Hardware Freedom Day is free.) Arduino is a great way to get started with open hardware. You can also play with Arduino circuits at Hardware Freedom Day in an informal setting.
