Responsive design lessons: a talk with design firm ZURB

  • November 14, 2012 · 7:00 PM

The future is here, and the future is responsive. With the explosion of devices that can access the Web, we have to adjust how we design online. Zurb's Chris Michel will discuss the evolution of responsive design - where we've been and how we got here. He will examine the progress we've made so far in creating the tools and methods that allow us to design responsively. We also take a peek into where responsive design is going in the coming months and years.

Bio: Chris Michel is a Design Lead at ZURB. Previously, Chris was a Graphic Designer, focusing mostly on web and print material for freelance clients around the Fresno area.

Very informative. Good to hear how Zurb uses their Foundation framework for rapid reactive web design prototyping. The grid is a venerable design methodology from the 60's, 70's, and 80's (Scandinavia). What's new is the adaptive nature for the web.

Loved the session! Would have appreciated a slightly more technical take, but still go a ton out of it.
