Fighting the Bar Chart: Workshop at MIT

We will schedule a second event later, so those of you who were not able to register this time will be able to attend then. Thanks for your patience!

***

Join NetSquared Boston and MIT Center for Civic Media researcher Rahul Bhargava for a workshop on making more creative data presentations!

The focus will be on how data-driven stories can help nonprofits and other organizations with fundraising and community engagement. We'll play with LEGOs, crayons, and other things to redefine what it means to tell data-driven stories.

Along the way, we'll talk about a process for picking appropriate data presentation techniques and discuss real-world examples of various creative techniques.

Come share your experiences and learn from others.

Snacks (fruit, crackers and/or cheese) will be provided courtesy of the MIT Center for Civic Media.

The Eventbrite registrations filled up very rapidly today. We may be able to schedule a second workshop on another day. If we do, I will post the details here.

A space opened up here, and I just RSVPed "Yes," but the Eventbrite page shows it as still sold out. I'm wondering if one needs to cancel on Eventbrite as well. Could you send out a reminder to folks to cancel on Eventbrite if they won't be able to make the event?

The information on Eventbrite is accurate. We hope to offer a second event if possible.

Ugh--I wish the Eventbrite RSVP was placed higher in the description--I might have actually read it.

The description says to RSVP at Eventbrite, and Eventbrite shows this meetup as waitlisted. I RSVP'd here on hackhackers.com, though. Which one counts?

The Eventbrite site is the location for RSVPs. Unfortunately, the event filled up very rapidly today and is now at capacity.
