Google on charts: Best examples & how to create

Google Charts provides a perfect way to visualize data on the web. From simple line charts to complex hierarchical tree maps, a large number of ready-to-use chart types are provided.

Tom Rybka will present great examples of Google Charts from around the web, talk about new capabilities recently added to the API, and give a brief introduction to how to get started using the tools.

Tom Rybka has been a Google engineer for 7 years, and leads the Google Charts team in Cambridge, MA.

Totally agree with the comments below, a definite firehose of information that made me want to run out and start coding with charts. Along with teh Big Data implications, would definitely like to see demo of how someone could use for jazzing up/making interactive the more routine monthly or quarterly reports out of spreadsheets.

Wow, Tom did a great job of demonstrating real world examples to show the power of Google charts.

Inspiring, but like drinking from a firehose. Tom gave tantalizing hints of the (incredible) power behind the Google Charts API, and it's going to take me a while to internalize it.

Our group at Mass General Hospital is hiring an Interactive Marketing Project Manager http://lnkd.in/dFcTYcj - I'll be there if anyone wants to inquire about the position. A lot of the skillsets we're looking for are found within the people in this group.

    Cheers!

My startup, DapperJobs (https://www.dapperjobs.com), is looking to hire a growth hacker.

We were also recently listed as a "10 Boston startups to watch who launched in 2013" (http://www.bizjournals.com/boston/blog/startups/2013/12/boston-startups-to-watch-founded-2013.html?page=2)

If this seems like an interesting opportunity, send an email to [masked]!
