FOOTBALL HACKATHON

Any type of hack is welcome. Here are some sources, but feel free to do what you want.

AdvancedNLFStats has released every play in the NFL since 2002. What can that tell us about Belichick's 3rd down mentality? Help find out at a hackathon focused on NFL data: We'll work on visualizations, interactives, and any other creative ideas you come up with.

Thanks for organizing it! I was really impressed with the meetup; I wasn't sure what to expect and who'd be there (in terms of ability) but I had a lot of fun, learned a lot about NFL, and enjoyed meeting everyone.

Interesting data set, great set of people with a variety of engineering and stats backgrounds, good discussion and ideas.

Hey everyone I just joined but ill be coming in late. Would it be possible to join a group around 11 or so? I'm more of a hack than hacker but have some coding skill.

I just found out about this event though and won't be able to make it. Any chance you'll post updates here?

For those of us hackers new to big data, any applications we should install/services we should sign up for prior to tomorrow's meeting?

Here's the data we're looking at:

Examples for inspiration might be the Pat's play predictor:

Or the Bill Belichick Press Conference Simulator:
