Introduction
I'm the data scientist for OkCupid's popular blog. I do statistics, programming, visualization and writing to pull out neat relationships that keep you infotained.
Are you a hack (content creator, writer, photographer, videographer, etc.), a hacker (engineer, developer, designer, etc.) or both?
Both, though primarily an engineer/developer. I did the data analysis, visualization, and some of writing for a New York Times articles on the Chicago transit system, so I've seen both sides of the divide.
Are you looking for partners to collaborate on projects, and if so, what?
Within the Hacks/Hackers sphere, I'm primarily interested in open government (who isn't?) and visualizing large data sets. Finding ways to visualize and analyze large, unwieldy data sets is my forte.
