Introduction

Hello, I am a web designer turned hacker/developer. I have an intense interest in news , journalism and education. I also have been known to grow a full beard in 24 hours.

Are you a hack (content creator, writer, photographer, videographer, etc.), a hacker (engineer, developer, designer, etc.) or both?

Designer Engineer

Are you looking for partners to collaborate on projects, and if so, what?

I am working on creating a small group of designers/ developers to collaborate on a 2d generative art Exhibition that depicts the big bang.

  • Hi James,

Welcome to the Equity Crowdfunding Meetup. We will dedicate a lot time discussing all of the rules around Crowdfunding at our meetings. I hope you will get your questions answered. Our first meetup will be in September. I am looking forward to meeting you there. -Benjy

  • Hey James,

I appreciate your point and agree that journalists should understand technology's role in journalism, but I think that's a limiting view. I think the ability of a journalist to use the tools expands his ability to report, e.g. the growing field of data journalism. This is especially true for start-up journalists who don't have the benefit of working with a developer. Journalists don't need to be fluent developers, but I think they should be proficient.
