Supermicro Kit / Hadoop in a box

From: Tom H.

It was interesting to see StumbleUpon using the SuperMicro kit as
well, I like the 2/4 server in 2U with 12 disk offering.

It was also timely as I was just finishing up getting an agreement in
place with the distributer to sell SM stuff at
I have done a simple cost+ price model so they should be good prices
(disks are expensive at the mo because of floods in thailand). If you
can get cheaper elsewhere let me know where and ill use them instead!.
Serious volumes will open up discouts but I wanted to list prices as I
am fed up of having everything need to go through quote/requote for
something that should just be a commodity.

If anyone wants to talk about getting a prebuilt 'Hadoop in a box' kit
setup, let me know.
