January Meetup Changes

From: Dan H.
Sent on: Sunday, January 22, 2012 7:16 PM

On Friday I opened up 40 more slots to the January meetup as we're now running two sets of talks at the same time so we can accommodate more people. As space is still limited please change your RSVP if you are unable to attend so other members can come along.

The talks are split into two rooms, one with talks aimed at people with little or no Hadoop knowledge and the other for those who know more about it. The aim to hopefully keep the evening interesting for everyone. You can see the details for the talks on the events page, both rooms still have capacity limits but hopefully everyone will be able to hear the talks they want to.

Oracle who are sponsoring this event are also organising their own Hadoop and Big Data event aimed at enterprise users, so head over there to see what's going on if you're interested. David Rajan who is running this will also be there on Thursday along with other people from Oracle if you want to talk to them more.

Other than that, see you on Thursday!
