Later this month there is an NHS Hack Day
which behing in the health field is quite a growing space for Hadoop and related data problems. So if you're interested in that or want to find out more you should head along!
Secondly the DeNormalised 2012 conference, focusing on NOSQL and Big Data, has opened a second stage for the first day of the conference and have opened a call for presentations. If you would like to speak at the conference the call for presentations is open until the 12th June.
They are particularly interested in submissions covering the following topics:
* uses of Hadoop
* data science applied
* machine learning
* big data experience reports
* polyglot persistence
