The consultancy I work for (Excelian), have been leaders in distributed computing and data caching for some time. They have recently taken a large interest in big data. They have been investigating Hadoop for financial clients both inside and outside the cloud and already found some interesting things.

Subject: [hug-uk] Hadoop based Consultancies

So, who are the big name consultancies who know about Hadoop?

Off the top of my head they are Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR, ......
and...... is that it? Oracle? IBM?

All the individual experts I know are busy with their own start ups
and too busy to do much consultancy.

Am I wrong?
