About Halifax Social Club

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What is Halifax Social Club?
Halifax Social Club (HSC) was started to provide an outlet for adults to meet and socialize in a fun and casual atmosphere.

When was HSC founded?
HSC was founded on November 16, 2007.

What is the age range of HSC?
HSC is open to any mature adult over the age of 25. Our member’s ages range from their late 20’s to their early 60’s. Our average age falls in the mid-40’s.

Is HSC a singles group?
No. We consider ourselves a social group, not a singles group. Married people are allowed to join. If you are only looking for casual relationships, you are looking in the wrong place.

How much does it cost to join HSC?
It’s FREE!

What type of events does HSC have?
Our events are only limited by the creative minds of our members. Some examples would be camping, kayaking, cookouts, holiday festivals, wine tasting, dinners, meet and greets, theme park trips, cruises, athletics, bowling, and more.
Only members may access the Calendar of Events.

Are there event fees?
That depends on the event. Most are free to attend. You are responsible for what you decide to spend (dinner, drinks, etc.). Some events will require advance payment, such as, the purchase of tickets. Every event on our calendar will specify what the event will cost, if anything, and how to make payment.

Can I bring a guest to an event?
Check the event description. Some events allow a member to bring up to a specified number of guests. All guests must be registered for the event to attend. The host member is responsible for their guest’s behavior.

Do you have child or pet friendly events?
Yes. Some events are child and/or pet friendly. The event description will specify which is allowable. Not sure? Email the host and ask.

Can I have an activity without it being an official event?
Yes. We have a forum that members can use to find an activity partner. These are not sponsored events and you are responsible for your own safety.
