The Museum Experience - Zone 3 (NON-HOSTED EVENT)

The Museum Experience features one of the four walkable “zones” to help visitors navigate through the area and progressively learn more about all 19 museums which compose the Houston Museum District.  On the last Saturday of January, April, July and September, one zone will showcase a handful of museums at a time, complete with special programming.  The other museums in the District will be open even when their zone isn’t featured.

This is a non-hosted event, and the Organizer will not be attending.

For those who would like to get together in the morning, I would suggest gathering at 10:30AM in the KFEC Education Center at the MFAH.  This room is located on the underground level of the Law Building.  It can be located by walking towards the men's restroom, continue straight until you hit the wall, and going through the doors to the right.  There is usually an attendant who can confirm that you are in the right room.

Free parking is available in four surface lots north of the Law Building. Two are along Main Street: one at Bissonnet, one at Oakdale; and two are off Montrose Boulevard: one at the Glassell Studio School and one at the Glassell Junior School.  Additional street parking is available throughout the Museum District.

MFAH garage parking is available for $6.00 with proof of museum admission. The entrance is on Binz, marked by a large, yellow arrow.

    What does non-hosted event mean?

Normally, our events are hosted events which means that I am there to serve as host. As the host, my role is to be the focal point to get everyone together, greet everyone, facilitate introductions, and provide any last minute information about the activity. When I posted this event, my plan was to be there in person as usual. Unfortunately, I am being called in to work, and I can not be there. Instead of cancelling the event, I have updated the event to a non-hosted event meaning that I will not be there to greet everyone. This way, if anyone is still interested in going on their own, the information is provided. Excellent question.

For anyone planning on visiting the Turrell exhibit at the MFAH, please note that reservations are recommended. There is no charge for the exhibit, but it will be helpful to make a reservation through as soon as possible to ensure admission.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
