Into the Woods

Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s beloved musical re-imagined for a small cast and intimate stage.

The story follows a Baker and his wife’s wish to have a child, Cinderella’s wish to attend the King's Festival, and Jack’s wish that his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's spell, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. In 1988, Into the Woods won Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical.

Recommended for audiences 13 and up. Children under the age of 5 are not allowed in the theater.

I will be in the lobby near the windows from 7:00PM to 7:10PM (wearing brown top/black pants).  Please come and say hello.

Tickets and seating are on your own.

The goldstar software allows me to create a link for anyone indicating that they are with me.  When you purchase your ticket using the link, when the seats are assigned, they will seat us as close as possible.  Even though it says "Group," this does not guarantee that we will be sitting next to each other.

Disclosure:  When tickets are confirmed though the link I have provided, I will receive a Service Fee Credit according to the Goldstar Refer A Friend program.

Main Street Theater has two locations.  Please make sure that you are at the correct location.

Complimentary street parking available.  Please read signs carefully.  Parking in the Village Arcade Parking Garage located at Kelvin and Amherst is $10.00 payable upon exit.

For anyone interested in having dinner before the performance, let's gather at the Jason's Deli located at 2400 University Blvd at 6:00PM (look for the red balloons).  We will leave for the theater at 6:45PM.

I saw this production last night. It was great fun. Full of Sondheim's typical wit and engaging music. Go see it if you can.
