DIY Night - Ceramics

Thank you to Kevin for suggesting this event.  You come in, select a "raw" piece of pottery, pick out paint colors, brushes, stencils, and sponges and paint your piece. Once you're finished, Glazed Over glazes and fires the piece for you to pick up in the next 7 days.

The studio fee for materials is $6.00 per person for 2 hours.  The pieces range from $9.00 to $50.00 with a wide selection from $9.00 to $14.00.

You are welcome to bring in your own food and beverages.  There is a Spec's in the same shopping center.  There is no corkage fee.  The Organizer will be providing wine, soft drinks, bottled water, cups and ice.

This was a great intro to your group. There was plenty of time to talk and learn more about some of the other members and upcoming events while we dabbled in the paints. Getting a chance to indulge the wanna-be artist in me was great although humbling as I looked at all the other amazing pieces people had painted. That said, I love my green dragon bank!

Thank you everyone for your participation with this event. We will definitely be doing this one again. I would also like to thank Kevin, Jeannie and Doug for providing the beverages and snacks. The pieces are finished and ready to be picked up at your convenience. I will be posting photos soon. I am requesting for everyone to email me a photo of you and your artwork. I am sure everyone would like to see the finished pieces ([masked])

I thought this was a really amazing way to see people's creative side come out--maybe our products can even be displayed in a museum in the future! :)

    Great idea, Kevin!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
