Warriors, Tombs and Temples: China

*** REPEAT EVENT ***

Warriors, Tombs and Temples includes 200 incredibly preserved ancient works of art featuring newly-discovered artifacts unearthed from imperial, royal and elite tombs and from beneath Buddhist monasteries in and around the capital cities of three great dynasties, all located near the modern city of Xi’an in Shaanxi Province. These are Xianyang, the capital city during the Qin dynasty (221 – 206 BCE), Chang’an, the capital city during the Western or Former Han (206 BCE – 8 CE) and the Tang (618 – 907 CE) dynasties.

Let's gather in the main lobby across from the ticket area near the benches (look for the green tiara).

We have a corporate membership with the museum so the discount price will be $15.00. I will present the paperwork at the corporate window, and everyone pays individually for their ticket. Special exhibit tickets include general admission access.

Photography is permitted with no flash.

There is very limited free parking near the museum entrance with additional free parking in Hermann Park. Garage parking is available at the museum for $10.00 when presenting your museum ticket.

This was a great event Kathleen. I also enjoyed the Titanic exhibit, which surprised me. Slept like I was dead when I got home though. Thanks!

An amazing exhibit! So glad I was able to see the Warriors here in Houston because I managed to miss them at Bowers in Santa Ana, CA when they were there. Thanks again to Kathleen for hosting another nice museum event!
