FYI (in case anyone cares);

 

I actually tried to put together an initiative (aimed more at Niagara, but anyway…) called Secular Niagara (http://secularniagara.webege.com/) with the idea people could pool money and run counter-adds on topics of interest – I started with a response to some of the pro-life stuff going on recently.

 

I ran a bunch of adds in Niagara, but no one else seems interested.  Still, I would consider participating in something with this group.

The price seems fair even for a website I have never heard of. I don't know you very well but I can judge people pretty well and I think you know what you're doing with the group's money.

Hi folks,

It was recently brought to my attention that the Kirkendall Neighbourhood Association now offers group advertising on their website for $50 for six months (http://kirkendallhood.ca/2013/11/advertising-now-available-on-our-website/). I was wondering what people thought about advertising for our group. I'd long been considering bus or newspaper ads, but they are a little pricey. We currently have $45 in our funds (this money comes from the voluntary $2 collection we have at every meetup). Please discuss. I'll go with whatever the consensus is.

Also, don't forget about our upcoming meetups. We have the 3D theatre in November, and our Solstice party in December. At the December meetup, we'll be collecting food for the Hamilton Food Share. Please please contribute. This is our first community outreach activity and I'd love to see it go well.
