March Contest Leading Lines

  • March 24, 2013 · 12:00 PM

he use of lines can be used to direct the viewers attention to the subject of your photograph. These lines can be straight, diagonal, wavy, or any other creative variation. Just be aware that they may also lead away from the photography subject.

Images can be uploaded up to the end of the third week and voting commences beginning of the 4th week March 24th Upload as many as you want but you can only vote on 3 images and not your own

Put images into the March Contest photo folder Click photos above to go to the folders

bought a new house/the house isnt new but new to me and I want to have meet up friends up for games and image critiques. But got to move first then will do the invites particularly when it warms up. I hope some new photo buds can help me get a good portrait of myself and Farley not the comedian or the writer!

Is this just a contest or is there a meetup involved

The Leading Lines is a contest Helen. The meet up idea for downtown just got rolled into it. Sunday is when the voting begins for the contest images. No new entries allowed at this point.

The downtown Hamilton idea sounds great Rob. My husband and I would definitely be interested in going on a photo shoot here with some other photographers.

Urban decay isnt meant to be sad but a one and only chance to benchmark change! Positive change compare two images 20 years apart and how often do people say I wish I photographed that when I had the chance. Urban decay doesnt have to be about buildings slipping into ruins but maybe the shaddows or plays on light they create/ Time exposures/ charactures with wind blowing in the wind it is what you make of it within the assignment. Be creative- Rob

Train tracks.buildings under construction downtown Hamilton. Ice and piers like Port Maitland or Dover. How about a trip through downtown Hamilton for urban decay?
