Good morning Messrs. Dan, Richard and Paul, I have heard nothing from my ALS contact, he usually gets very, very busy in the following week. I have downloaded your images and forwarded them to Bob, so you may remove them.

    Thanks Guys, great stuff!!

It was a great day, although beautiful sun meant harsh shadows. Was fun helping out and glad the local ALS group had a successful day.

Hi Dan and thanks very very much. Iforwarded yours directly to Bob Mullin, figuring he could be viewing while I get my stuff moving. Looking forward to viewing yours this afternoon. Did you see Lee Moore at the park?

    Thanks again

I have not heard of changes for this year so we'll go with last years format.
7 am One person to get volunteers setting up tables and banners,a small band and groups signing in.
8:30-9:30 One to shoot group pictures near the large memorial banner or the wall at the entrance to the trail.
9:00 It would be nice if someone walked along to get local colour and groups waving and smiling as they walk and/or someone to head to High Level or Princess Point (easier) .
11-1 One to catch them returning to the park, having hot dogs and pop, announcing the results and thanking participants. Last year they had a balloon release which was fun for the kids but not what I see as spectacular. Best shot from downwind.
Parking is readily available at the park.
I get there by 8, can assist or do groups and the return, and closing. Groups may requires marshalling, thats what I meant by assisting.
Please let me know what you would like to do. They appreciate anything we provide.

I am told there will be a banner on site that families will be attaching photos of their family members to. Photos of that will certainly be appreciated. Can anybody cover part of the walk and/or Princess Point?

    Thanks Guys

The ALS site is no help at all. Someone needs to volunteer to make it work. http://www.als.ca/en/events/calendar

Bill. Can you confirm details of when/where (start time, end time)? Best place to park. etc. I am getting other requests for that day that I would like to respond to. Your post says returning at 11:30, but when is the actual closing ceremonies?
    Thank you

This was just an early notice. I could advise the committee chair of any questions we may have.

Bill. Can I assume there will be more details closer to the date?

Setup for the walk starts around 6:30. The walkers are usually a dozen teams of patients, family and friends, each team usually having their own coloured tshirts. The walk usually sets off around 9:30 going to the Princess Point Bridge, returning usually around 11:30 for hot dogs, drinks and closing ceremonies. ALS would like pictures of setup, entertainers, team pictures, along the route (High Level and Princess Point are easily accessed), and the closing activities. 8-10 photographers would be nice. I usually give them a dvd of the pictures that you post. They will be used and possibly published by the local, provincial, and national organizations.
