Brief Description:

This is our week#6 training ride (the last one) for us to ride 100k for Tour De Cure in May. This should be a good training ride to get ready for the big ride.  You are more than welcome to join us.  We will go over the basic safety riding requirements before each ride.  Safety is NO.1 for our riding.

Route is to ride to Folsom, take Barton to Trail Head coffee for snack breaks. Then we will climb the Indian Hills. Regroup just before the Folsom Auburn, we will take Folsom Auburn, Val Verde and Wells back to Barton and back to Greenback and then to America River Bike trail to Gold River.  This is relative long rides with many rollers and two big hills.  After this, you should be able to ride 100k with ~3,000feet climbing.

Helmet is required. Please bring water, nutrition, sunscreen, flat repair items, and big  smiles :).

My Garmin 500 shows: 53.8mi (we rode from home), 2,372ft climbing. Moving time: 03:50:09, average 14mph. We did really good job especially for anyone who rode the route first time. Thanks and hope to ride with you next time. Now we officially ends the series training rides for Tour De Cure 100k. We will have the official ride next Saturday (5/4). Hope to see some of you there. :) If you do not ride, you can still show up to join us for the fun event and it is a good cause one.

Sorry but I hit a wall. Took a break at the Firemans station on Auburn/Folsom and still wasn't feeling it. Managed to get to Douglas Blvd and called my husband. Never experienced anything like this, but there was no way I was going to finish.

I think my mom is coming for this ride. But coming from Woodland, and it being early, maybe not lol.

Nice ride with challenges. My boy finished it although he "complained" toward the end. Good job, everyone! Eva, hope you got back fine. Evan and I waited you at Douglas and the group waited you at the Oak Hills and Folsom Auburn. We have to go and we were late for Evan's 1p.m lesson.
