B68 - Morgan Territory & Mount Diablo

Ride Summary:
Distance: 68 miles ( + the drive to Walnut Creekl! cool)
Elevation: 6,k'ish feet
, Speed: 16-20 on the flats, less on hills, 14-15 average
Ride Level: Intermediate +
Sweep: No, but we will have regroups for eveyone close to pace
Views and Route: Incredible!
Meetup 8:15am for a 8:30am rollout

This is not a beginner ride - you must have substantial experience riding in traffic and on lots of hills to do the ride, the Morgan Territoy climb is an 8 miile climb, the Mt. Diablo climb is an 11 mile climb. We will do  *some* waiting at re-group points, but please be able to sustain the advertised pace and have plenty of climbing experience. On the climb and descent, I suggest that people ride their own pace, and we will wait a reasonable time for re-groups at the tops and bottoms of climbs.

If you need a route sheet, please pring your own and brling it. Route can be found here(note rwgps routinely overstates climbing by 20-30%):

Please review the route sheets -- I will bring enough for everyone in a "friendly format" (not the rwgps standard format). As far as restroom / water stops there is restoom and ater at miles 22.4, 37.9, 41.3, 48,2, 52.6, 57.1. We will stop at the Grocery Store at mile 37.9 for water/bathroom/good break. The visitor center at 48.2 has very limited snacks so plan your hydration and fuel accordingly.

As usual helmets are required, as well as any hydration and nutrition you may need for the ride.

Also, I know some of you like taking the train up to Martinez, if you want to do that that is fine, but make sure you are at the ride start at the advertised time.

I'll be getting something quick after ride like maybe Jamab Juice there at the parking lot as I have a 6pm dinner thing to get to ack here in sac ...this is also the reason for the 1 hour earlier start.
