I'm an avid distance rider. Last year I completed my 50th double century and was inducted into the CTC Hall of Fame. I enjoy cycling because it's one of the few things you can do for fitness which also includes socialization.

Bike rides (lol). From what I've seen from the Meetup it looks like there are already a ton of ride options.
This year my new wife and I plan on riding 3-5 double centuries on our Tandem to go along with a few on our singles.
somewhere between a 5 year old girl and the Canabal. It really depends on the day. For what it is worth I'm not a speedy fast rider but I can ride all day long.
Yes
This is a great group of riders who share a common interest. There are rides for every rider from the beginner to the advanced rider.

Yes, I work for Sutter. I'm the Compliance Officer for Roseville and a few other affiliates.
Tim,
Interesting suggestions on the Midnight Century. When are you going to lead your version of the ride? I will sign up. :-) There are porta potties at the Knights Landing Fish access (both directions) and there are groves of trees on other parts of the route. directions - no ... address will be on route sheet ... you'll have to mapquest - (I'll be doing the same thing :-)
Good luck on the Grand Tour tomorrow. Post pics and comments after please. I'm thinking about the triple or quad for next year.
We'll be looking for you on the Grand. I guess I'll recognize you by the tats on your lower leg. I have a shamrock on my inner right calf. That's how we'll know each other. :)
