Balkan Brass Band originated in 19th century Serbia, when trumpeters in the military transposed folk music during harsh times. The beats are fast and often accompanied by kolo, a dance, and alcohol. Lots.
Kusturica's movies are one of the best viewpoints to this type of music and culture, where the spirit and emotion are much more important than the technichal virtuosism, because everybody will be drunk anyway, be that in a wedding or a funeral.

Unfortunately, the Noctambus only runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays... So we can't use it for tomorrow :(

Would anyone leaving from Antibes have room in his/her car for 3 people? We would love to join, but we don't own cars and the public transportation is a real pain in the butt...

Les Nuits Indyennes is proud to announce what could easily be one of the most fun nights of the year - our own little Balkan Music night!

Balkan music comprises many traditions of ethnic groups from the south-east of Europe, thus being a very rich melange of rhythm and melody, characterized by its extreme therapeutical party properties - no one has ever gone to a Balkan music party and went back home without a smile! So, we urge you to grow a moustache, get your fedora hats and suspensors out of the closet and join us in a celebration of good mood and positiveness that will make you keep on dancing even after you've gone to bed! Let's all get together and dance like gipsies! See you next Wednesday @ the usual place!

Again me and a couple of friends will be "DJing" some indie/alternative music in the vieux Nice.
The bar is quite small, so it's easy to find me/us there. Plus I'm sometimes behind the decks ;)
    Hope to see you there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
