I was never into sports and the few sports that I could stomach were pilates and cycling. As an extremely inflexible person with flat feet (they make for poor balance), I tried out yoga. It has given me a lot more than I have imagined.
Other than the most obvious health benefits (getting active & stronger, breathing deeply, becoming more flexible), I actually developed a new relationship with my body and myself. I began to appreciate my body and what it can do and for what it does. I recognized that there are many challenging poses but learned to hold them with patience, perseverance, a positive attitude and acceptance. And I find this is the right attitude to have not just on the mat but beyond it. And most importantly, after every yoga class I feel like my mind is completely 'reset' like an electronic that has been unplugged, and plugged in again with all its problems debugged.
So I hope through this group, I can deepen my practice, share its benefits with you, create opportunities for you to get to know yourself and to find your own peace within each moment.
The following article touches on how I 'teach'. I am not here to show you how the perfect pose is done or to make you feel weak and demotivated when I'm backwards and twisted like a pretzel. I'm here to learn with you and show and share with you how far I've come and how far we can go together on our own journeys. If you need a lift, I will lift you up into wheel. If you need a little push I will help you stretch deeper. We will fall over together and laugh about how we'll never be able to do the split (until the day we can). And at the end of the day, I just hope to bring to you a lovely environment, time and space where you can grow and be 100% your true self all mind, body and spirit

I am a 200 hour Transformational Hatha Yoga certified teacher. While hatha yogic postures are practiced to strengthen the physical body, pranayama breathing techniques, mantra chanting, and meditation are also an essential part of this complete yogic system. These techniques work simultaneously in order to purify and energize the chakras and balance the subtle prana energies. As a result, the effects of Transformational Yoga practice are felt immediately and are carried over into your everyday life bringing equilibrium and serenity into the physical body, emotions, mind, and soul.
