Flash to HTML5

It’s not Flash vs HTML5. It’s Flash to HTML5.

Verna Hartinger will explain how she uses Adobe Flash Professional to create animated HTML5-based content. She’ll demonstrate how to easily export assets and animations to JavaScript using an open source CreateJS framework.

Join us to learn why Flash users find it easier to work with the Canvas element in HTML5. You do NOT want to miss this meeting!

It was one of my favorite topics so far. Verna did a great job explaining the possibilities and the potential hurdles - definitely clear and complete. Thanks Verna!

Not only a good topic, but Verna is one of the best presenters the group has had since I began attending a few months ago. She was well organized and did a great job of tying her examples in to the Keynote presentation.

I like that Verna spoke from a visual perspective, and explained what the code did/controlled- helped me understand. Glad to hear there are options to salvaging some Flash rather than start from scratch in code. Thank you very much for the book- it's a great reference!
