Jack and the Giant Slayer 3D

Jack the Giant Killer” tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend—and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

Cast: Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, Ewan McGregor

Hi. Just a reminder I can't make it so there is no organizer. Please look for each other in the lobby near the entrance to the restaurant. Enjoy!

Won't be coming, as I have just realized it's a 3D version, which my eyes could never get used to.

So sorry, but I have to cancel my movie plans this evening. Been fighting a bad cold and thought I would be feeling better than I am. Don't want to hack and cough through the movie. Sounds like a great group. Look forward to next time!

This will be my first meet up so how do I find everyone and how do I know who to look for and that other people are for sure going cause it's a 20 to 25 min ride for me

Patty - It looks like you changed your RSVP to a No, but in case you're still considering it, the info you requested is all in the listing. At this theater, we meet in the lobby near the entrance to the restaurant. It's always a good idea to take a look at the photos of those who RSVP'd Yes so you can keep an eye out for each other. I'm usually there and look for everyone too (but I can't make it this week). I always suggest you check the meetup listing before you leave the house because RSVP's often change and sometimes there are last minute comments. (There's no "for sure" when it comes to RSVP's but most people are considerate enough to update their RSVP's when things change). I hope this helps. Hope to see you at the movies!

Looks like I can't make it this weekend and I want to see Quartet so I'm going to schedule Jack and the Giant Slayer for this weekend and Quartet for next weekend. I hope this works for you.

I don't want to push people into a movie the group doesn't want. If the bulk want Quartet I can go another week.

I vote for Jack. Can't wait to see this and I love all the fairy tale 2.0s that are being released in book and movie form.

Need suggestions for this week's movies. Some options include: Dark Skies, Snitch, Safe Haven, Jack and the Giant Slayer, Quartet (different theater). I'm feeling a little movie burnout this week (saw three this past weekend) so nothing's really jumping out at me. Any opinions? Thanks!!
