First and foremost, I felt badly I could not get away from work even temporarily to attend even part of the meeting. This should not be an issue for upcoming months. I would also like to thank my friend, Bruce, a true novice who has never had formal lessons in Russian, for coming to my aid to make sure people found each other!
Thanks to Dale for the Language CDs which will provide a great starting base for all of us to discuss. I will try and make sure Andrew and others get access prior to the next meet-up!
Ray also came and Bruce said they also had a great discussion and everyone thought that themes and/or focused vocabulary for upcoming meetings will provide a basis for people to practice terms, verbs or look up words and explore a bit to create some points of discussion with others. Mostly, we want to have fun, improve our language and meet people with this interest! A trip to Brighton Beach was also brought up for consideration and it was met with interest!
March should be a GREAT meet-up month prior to St. Paddy's Day! Thanks for all those who came and please encourage others to come and make the March meeting which should really be a good time! Listen to those CDs, bring some vocab. or discussion points! Next month will also be in the first back room on the left once you get to the hall to the right of the bar! THANKS AND SEE YOU ALL IN MARCH! NIKA
Meet local Russian's, culture lovers and those who want to learn a new language! Have fun practicing, learn new phrases and sentences and finally understand those verb conjugations! All ages and levels welcome.
