Do you make efforts to improve your Japanese? Do you up-date your knowledge or information about Japan?

I am currently mostly studying Japanese by watching films/television and reading books and deliberately memorising all of the vocabulary that I don't know. (Although this means I know a lot of useless words like 不死鳥、錬金術、積乱雲etc.) I think my listeninng and reading is ok, but I haven't been able to practise speaking lately because I was living in Poland and couldn't find anyone who spoke Japanese, so I think I sound like I know a lot less than I actually do when I'm speaking. I'm always looking for news about Japan, and hope to visit again in 2013 to see some things that I didn't have time for last time. (Like yakushima!) So basically I have a lot of theoretical knowledge, I think, but I need lots more practice.

Hi, my name is Jessica. I just arrived in London on a working holiday visa. I lived in Tokyo for almost two years, and would like to keep working on my Japanese and help others learn English. I'd like to become fluent one day!
