Scroll down for Hike Description. If you HAVE QUESTIONS about the hike, or you would like to meet at the trailhead instead of carpooling, please CONTACT THE LEADER DIRECTLY at the phone number or email below. This is important because the leader might not see a message you post here. Remember to ARRIVE EARLY at the carpool location. The time given is our DEPARTURE time. There are always more people on our hikes than are listed in the meetup RSVP. Please view the photo gallery to see what our hikes are like. We ask for a mere $10 per year in membership dues. There is no "per hike" fee. You are welcome to join us for free on your first hike. To pay the $10 Annual Dues, please visit our Website: http://haywardhikers.weebly.com . Click on "Join or Renew". Credit/Debit/Paypal is accepted, or check by mail. Thanks!

Mt Diablo – Mitchell Canyon Staging Area. Approximately 7 miles, elevation gain of 1200 ft. Moderate w/ some steep climbs/drops. It follows the Donner Canyon Trail to the Falls Trail. It will follow the Falls Trail back to the Tick Wood Trail & return via the Back Creek Trail. We will find one GeoCache. The falls have water running moderately now. When scouted it was a very pleasant hike. Rain/mud may shorten the hike to 5 miles.
