Mountain View Cemetery - Oakland  This is a 3 mile history walk through the cemetery with a docent and others interested guests.  We will meet at the administration building about 10 am and be guided through one of the oldest cemeteries in the Bay Area.  We will see the resting places of the rich and poor alike who have made their last statement with a towering monument or maybe a simple cross.    The Docent will tell us fascinating stories about the people who have made this place their final place.   It is a walk over the rolling hills of Oakland at the end of Piedmont avenue.  If we are lucky we will see large beds of tulips that have been planted in the cemetery - about 25,000 bulbs.
