There are always more people on our hikes than are listed in the meetup RSVP. Please view the photo gallery to see what our hikes are like. We ask for a mere $10 per year in membership dues.     Mt. Diablo State Park, Macedo Ranch entrance, end of Green Valley Rd., Danville.  The moderate hike
    of about 8.5 mi. with about 500 feet of elevation gain is a combination of loops.  About 1/4 is on narrow trails and wooded.  $6 parking fee per vehicle or State Park Pass.

    Hi all hikers, The hike scheduled for Mt. Diablo State Park Sat.,
    12/1/12 is cancelled due to rain. Although the weather forecast predicts
    a lull in the rain on Sat., showers are still predicted. Furthermore,
    several of the fairly steep slopes are likely to be treacherous with
    slippery mud. Howard Hornig
