0.20 release is coming up fast and we have gotten quite a bit done since the LA Hackathon for it.

Proposed schedule:

  • A quick look at already completed issues for 0.20
  • Performance numbers comparing 0.19 to 0.20 trunk
  • Zookeeper + HBase tutorial
  • Issues still open for 0.20 and where they stand
  • Memory management. We will now have many distinct consumers of heap and need to figure out how this will be most effectively managed (Memcaches, Block Cache, Indexes/Blooms/Meta, Cell Cache, and of course normal operations)
  • Any decisions made/to be made about delaying issues originally slated for 0.20, and ideas for other 0.21 improvements
  • Open Q&A for users
  • A couple hours of hacking for those that wish to stick around

Any other topics you'd like to see on here, let me know, or if you have anything interesting you'd like to present on.
