I registered previously for this event which at the time came free since I registered as a member - looking into this again, it seems like I have to re-register, and now pay $30- is this correct?

    May 12, 2014

    • Alex F.

Hi Ingrid, sorry for the late response, got a little busy running the event. Yes, you are correct, if you are a dues paying member you do not need to pay for certain events. This event and others start out as low cost or free until there is critical mass, then we schedule and set a price based on costs.

I'll miss tonight's event. I hope to make the next one.

I registered but was not able to put my credit card number the first time around. I tried the second time to pay but won't let me since I've already registered. How can I get the $30.00 payment to you?

    May 11, 2014

    • Alex F.

did you try the http://medstartr.prox... site? Different card processor, may work better? You can pay at the door too though. Please tell them you had issues and we will be glad to charge same rate.

      May 12, 2014

  • Christina W

Is it possible to register/pay at the meeting?

    2 · May 10, 2014

    • Alex F.

usually yes, but this looks like we will be over capacity. We also charge $40 at the door, so it is best to get your tickets early through the site (they start at $10 and get more expensive over time.)

We are looking at cognitive software architectures used to model human reasoning as the basis of a new generation of applications in the realm of clinical decision sciences, including decision support but also device integration, collaboration, and predictive modeling.

Do you think neuromorphic computing has a role here.?

I would be happy to present on telemedicine. I am working in Cardiology and there are many useful tools to utilize that I am sure Donna Cusano can also attest to. [masked]

I am the founder of Mevoked (www.mevoked.com) and we are building an analytics platform that correlates online/mobile behavior to mental health wellness. Our first product is a parental app, essentially a smarter parental control built on a behavioral analytics platform. On the clinical side we are using our app to support patients diagnosed with depression. Hope to see you all soon at one of the upcoming meetups!

I have an idea for a location, which depends on the speaker roster. Someone planning the event can reach out to me via phone or email this week to discuss. Thanks!

Thanks Ivy! Thank you also for becoming a member! Those who back our mission are very much appreciated. We need a big venue and some great products to put up front. Sponsors welcome too.

One of the most interesting areas for me in healthcare is the use of digital games. For example, Hope Labs has demonstrated improved outcomes in children with cancer after playing their game, which teaches about cancer and therapy. Other people have created games for physical therapy. There are so many possibilities.

Perhaps Charlotta and I should talk about IP shown at www.mmedhealth.com and the work of iRx Reminder on clinical trial monitoring. I can be reached through nap.monroe@.newdirectionsconsulting.net . Thanks.

Clinical trial monitoring. I would be happy to present on something very special that will save money, create patient compliance and potentially better chances of getting better outcomes.

David--if you look at Telecare Aware we've been covering mCare since the AllOne Mobile days in early 2010. Here's the latest article: http://www.telecareaware.com/index.php/dod-in-full-clinical-trial-of-diversinet-mcare-app-for-tbi-soldiers-us.html. Look for mCare and Diversinet using our search function.

BTW there is a huge area of interface with mobile technologies (your smartphone) from text messaging to viewing (or taking!) medical imaging on same.

Within my field of eHealth, there are many. In vital signs monitoring, there's MedApps, Bosch Health Buddy, and coming up Waldo Health. There are the online doctor consult companies like American Well and InteractiveMD. Behavioral monitoring--there's WellAWARE and GrandCare. If you are looking for leading edge companies you might want to browse through Telecare Aware, a news and info 'digest' site where I'm North American Editor.
