Soul Fest is a community event being held honor of Black History Month. The celebration will run from 12noon until 3 pm and include speakers, performances, dancing, and entertainment for all ages. There will be vendors, children's activities and last but not least, a SOUL FOOD COOK-OFF. Have you got a vegan recipe you'd like to enter? Several of our members have already put their hands up.
This is a community event and it is open to the entire community ( not just students and faculty) so bring your best vegan dish and let's show the community that vegan tastes GOOD!
Our Vice President, Erin Baird is the Regional Coordinator for Service-Learning and an Adjunct Instructor at the Cocoa Campus and she is coordinating this event so let's get out and show our support for her efforts.
See the official flyer below. If you or someone you know may be interested in entering a dish in the Cook-off all the details can be found there. If you are a HPOB Member or an HPOB meet-up member please contact us for details, we'd like to enter all of our vegan dishes together as a team. [masked]
Tickets to sample all the delicious comfort cooking will be $10.00 at the event.
