Boa Santa Monica for giant crustaceans and more ( plus its Rons 70th bday)

Been awhile , maybe several years , since the heydays of the Boa SM wine dinners. We'd take over the whole patio , and they always did special things for us. Suckling pig , roast goose , and more , BUT the epic of epic dishes , was the giant tasmanian crabs and lobsters. These were behemoths , and when done , the pics were sent all over the web because they were so special so awesome. Even staff members would snap pics and post em . I dont have any pics because my FB Pics goes back to 2008 and obviously the Boa SM dinners were pre 2008. Maybe Ron or Kirk still have those pics.We stopped going to Boa SM because we shifted to Boa sunset But we reminisce about those dishes and the whole experience, so we are going back. Plus its rons bday that week , so for him , itll be like a double parlay of a gift. Obviously we'll get their other eats like their steaks etc. Wines to be highish level. Nothing weak for Rons 70th huh.

    Hello Yarom,
Do you have room for two more?
It would be myself and Erika Mendelson?
    We'll bring a Caymus Cab 2003, and
    an Isosceles Reserve 2007

while those are good wines, they are way below par and level of wines coming. Wines coming include penfold granges, hundred acres, screaming eagles, etc

Wines are shaping up to be awesome. Erick bringing a roumier, lana a mag of Platinum. Larry bringing besides his grange , a montrachet. So for whites we have the monty, Rons white and Andys white rhone. All great juice. Please let me know wines if you havent ASAP , especially if you are a plus 1, therefor what your guests are bringing. Again , youve seen so far whats coming so dont embarass yourselves on Rons bday by trying to skate by on the bare minimum. lol

How can I not be there for Ron's big 7-0?? I'm out of Grange, so I'll contribute a 2001 Astralis (RP99) and a 2008 Screaming Eagle Second Flight. Looking forward to it.

I'm probably the 1989 Palmer for red (RP 95 and I know Ron, like me, loves Palmer) and a "bonus" of 96 Chapoutier L'olee blanc to pair with the crab (RP[masked]!)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
