You can create a Meetup Account with an email address and a password. Register by clicking onto the Sign up link at top of any page on the site.

Once you complete the registration form, we will send you a verification email. If you have any trouble receiving it, please follow these instructions.

The verification email includes a link you'll need to validate your Meetup account. Clicking it will bring you back to the Meetup site so you can set up your Meetup profile.

Your Meetup profile is a representation of you, so you'll want to make sure your profile is complete and looking great! Check out the key points on the profile below:



1. Profile photo: Add a picture of yourself, so the members of a group will know what you look like when you join.
2. Your location: Giving your location allows Meetup to find groups in your area.
3. Biography: Enter a brief description of your interests, hobbies, why you joined Meetup--just something about yourself!
4. Tagged interests: When you add topics or interests to your profile, you'll receive email notifications when new Meetup Groups start up in your area.

You can always modify this content later, or hide it from general view on the site.

Once you've got some basics in your profile, it's time to find some great Meetup Groups to join!
