Important Pricing Update
Why is Meetup changing pricing plans?
Under our new plans, smaller Meetups will pay a little less and larger Meetups will pay a little more. With the new pricing plans, we hope to help more Meetups start near you so you can attract more members who might be right for your group. We’ve always done everything we can to keep Organizer Subscriptions fair and affordable for organizers everywhere, and we hope these changes reflect that.
What are the new plans?
The Basic plan allows organizers to have up to 3 other organizers on their Leadership Team and up to 50 members.
This is a great option if you're just getting started. And if your group grows, don't worry! Upgrading is very easy, and we'll give you plenty of notice.
*Please note that the Basic plan is not available to organizers who start their subscriptions through our iOS app.
With the Unlimited plan organizers can have an unlimited Leadership Team, as well as an unlimited number of members.
Take a look at our current pricing options in your area for more details and specifics.
Will I be contacted before this goes into effect?
Yes, we will email organizers before they are moved to our updated pricing. The update will go into effect for an organizer's first billing cycle after receiving our message.

How will I be affected?
Organizers with 40 or more members in their Meetup groups will automatically be put on the Unlimited plan to make sure that the group can keep growing. If you prefer to keep your Meetups small, you can switch to the Basic plan in your Account Settings under Organizer Subscription.
There are less than 50 members in my Meetup. Why is my group Unlimited?
Organizers with 40 or more members in their largest Meetup group will automatically be put on the Unlimited plan to make sure that the group can keep growing. If you’d prefer to keep your Meetups small, you can switch to the Basic plan in your Account Settings under Organizer Subscription. If you have Meetup groups with more than 50 members (or more than 4 organizers) and would rather be on Basic, you’ll need to resize your group in order to step down from the Unlimited plan.
I don’t want to be on a new pricing plan. How do I cancel?
Keep in mind that once your dues expire, you will be stepped down as organizer of your Meetup group. You can cancel your subscription here.
If you started your subscription via our iOS app, you’ll have to log into the App Store to cancel your subscription.
If you’re no longer interested in organizing your Meetup, we suggest that you nominate a new organizer to ensure that the community you’ve started has the opportunity to continue to grow.
