Talk on “How to Find Relief from G.I. Issues” & Healthy Potluck Dinner

  • September 10, 2013 · 7:15 PM

Josh Boughton, health expert from the natural vitamin store Village Vitality, will give a talk about how you can heal from various G.I. issues through dietary changes, supplements, and stress reduction.  Josh is a passionate advocate for honest science-based health information and he has 12 years of experience in the vitamin and health food store industry.

Bring your questions, bring a dish for the potluck, and be prepared for a lively, life-changing discussion!

Learn how to find relief from the following issues:

-acid reflux,

-gas,

-bloating,

-constipation,

-diarrhea,

-irritable bowel,

-Crohn's disease, and

-diverticulitis.

Josh will also discuss:

- how to make and prepare certain beneficial foods, such as yogurt, kimchi, sauerkraut, and bone broths;

- how to choose foods that heal not hurt; and

- how to slow down and eat mindfully.

BIO: Josh runs a consulting business which provides quality control, raw material sourcing, and product formulation for supplement companies.  While the vitamin and health supplement industry has virtually no regulation or standardization for quality and safety, Josh has done extensive research and examined the best clinical evidence.  He actually knows what’s in the products you are buying.

Josh, also, is an herbalist who has worked with oncologists and given lectures on medicinal mushroom use in patients with cancer.  He has given lectures and trainings for cosmetic companies.  He is currently the natural products director for Village Vitality, a natural vitamin business which also carries supplements, skin care, and pet products.   They recently opened a new location in West Hartford Center.
