We host Conscious Events Somatic Dance pop-ups in Cincinnati and the surrounding tri-state area. Our events are judgment free.
Is this ecstatic dance? How is it different?
Ecstatic dance is a free-form, judgment-free space in which dancers are encouraged to express themselves through movement and dance freely. The only difference in our method is the encouragement and direction of somatic prompts [optional] to process and release trauma or "stuck" energy in the body.
We are phone free, substance-free, judgment-free and shoe free. (When the hosting space allows) Our space is non-verbal, and there will be time to connect in this way following each event.
The dance serves as a form of meditation, assisting in achievement of an "ecstatic," state. Helping people to cope with stress and to attain serenity. Come join us!

We have had many inquiries about why this costs money.
So, I have decided to address that question in this space.
We have overhead costs that can include:
- Meetup.com group fees
- Space rental
- Paying DJs for sets
- Instructor fees
- Graphic design fees
- Paying for the rights to music
- Emailing/texting subscriptions
- Childcare during "adult only," events
- Compensating ourselves for our time
