Skeptics in the Atheist Church (Sunday Assembly)

"What? An Atheist Church?" I hear you cry. Yes it is true, and you can encounter it it with your own eyes (and all other senses).

The Sunday Assembly started last month in London, and reports were so positive and intriguing that I thought it would be worth a visit, and perhaps get some ideas for events we could run here in Wycombe.

The Service starts at 11am at at The Nave (1 St Paul’s Road, London, N1 2QH), but as the first event was packed out I suggest we aim to get there in plenty of time.

I will be catching the train, and aim to leave Wycombe about 9am to get to the venue at about 10.30am. if you prefer to drive then perhaps some car sharing could happen?

Afterwards we can do our own thing, maybe a lunchtime drink at a near by hostelry, we are Skeptics in the Pub after all!!!

Sounds like a plan! The nearest tube is about 15 minutes walk, but there is a bus stop right outside.

For those planning to come to London Assembly this Sunday the train that I plan to catch is the 8.49am from Wycombe to Marylebone, this gives us plenty of time to get to the venue early (I predict it will be packed out, given the great publicity it has had!)

After the event I will be taking the opportunity to potter around some of the things in London that I enjoy (British Library, Wellcome Collection, Pubs...) So fee free to join me!

Who can bear to forfeit their Sunday morning lie in and join me?
