Scarecrows in the Garden has become a fun much anticipated creative celebration of Fall at the Botanical Gardens with many designers and groups contributing their notions of wild new scarecrows, and this year the temporary installation of topiary-like sculptured plantings adds to the mystique. Join our group to tour the gardens and sculptures in the twilight, and this evening is special because of the FEST of ALE, when craft beer sales stations will be positioned around the garden for guests to purchase and try. (Usually there's wine too!)
1) Don't forget, entry to the garden requires a ticket or a membership.
2) Bring your flashlights! Much of the fun happens after sunset when we'll walk the dark pathways with only flashlights to reveal shadowy scarecrows set into the plantscapes.
3) Please print and wear your bracelet or badge so we can locate you! It can be downloaded here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/05df06cglci3a6w/FriendsoftheHighMuseum-ID_Nametag%2BWristband%20copy.pdf
4) Usually people are interested in discussing the meetup, art we have seen, and other ideas after the event so we may get food and drinks. Think about it; join us perhaps?
