Scarecrows in the Garden art walk and FestOfAle night - Botanical Gardens

Scarecrows in the Garden has become a fun much anticipated creative celebration of Fall at the Botanical Gardens with many designers and groups contributing their notions of wild new scarecrows, and this year the temporary installation of topiary-like sculptured plantings adds to the mystique.  Join our group to tour the gardens and sculptures in the twilight, and this evening is special because of the FEST of ALE, when craft beer sales stations will be positioned around the garden for guests to purchase and try.  (Usually there's wine too!)

IMPORTANT!:

1) Don't forget, entry to the garden requires a ticket or a membership.

2) Bring your flashlights!  Much of the fun happens after sunset when we'll walk the dark pathways with only flashlights to reveal shadowy scarecrows set into the plantscapes.

3) Please print and wear your bracelet or badge so we can locate you!  It can be downloaded here:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/05df06cglci3a6w/FriendsoftheHighMuseum-ID_Nametag%2BWristband%20copy.pdf

4) Usually people are interested in discussing the meetup, art we have seen, and other ideas after the event so we may get food and drinks.  Think about it; join us perhaps?

Unfortunately, something has come up. I will not be able to make it tonight. Have fun and tell me about it later.

It was lovely Elizabeth; you were missed. With a name like Byrd though, I can see why you were frightened to be near so many scarecrows to ward you off.

Thank you to the great impressive group we had tonight; lots of laughter and some entertaining scarecrows! I know it's a beer-centric event but someone there is a HUGE fan of wine... Several thousand corks worth! It was spectacular usage though; see the pic we posted. We had guests hosting two other meet ups, a photography group an a hiking group; look them up, sounds like some fun upcoming events including a Roswell ghost tour!

Hi Ted, will we be able to buy our tickets when we arrive @ 7PM? I also noticed there is a parking gargage which is great for $2 an hour, for those of us who haven't beent there before.

YES! Thank you Anitra. And good tip about the parking. The deck can fill up and there used to be (pre-park Atlanta) a bunch of on-street parking in the cute little neighborhood across the street too. Not sure if it's still ok to park there so fingers crossed for the deck!

Ok we're now at 7:00 - we'll announce to group as the event gets closer. I hope if we are all together with wristbands or nametags we can be found easily even if you arrive later. Thank you for the info on how to make a better event!

7:00 help? Hoping y'alls boat likes that time better; thanks for the useful comment!

Ok, great feedback, thank you!!!! I tell you what, we will change the meeting time to 7:00 and we will play it by ear with y'all; I moved up the default time from 7:00 and now I see why that's a problem. So, no problem! 7:00 is the new time to shoot for and we know sometimes traffic can be challenging; my cell is 4)[masked] if we lose anyone to traffic in the short term.
