Conditioning Hikes at the CNC on Tuesdays in Nov. Hike 5 or 6 Brisk Paced Miles

Get ready for the holidays with these conditioning hikes (expect to sweat).   These hikes are for those who desire five or six mile brisk paced hikes with hills and steps and fields and streams.  One group will hike a quicker pace for 6 miles. There will only be a couple 3 minute breaks along the way to change layers, stretch or catch a drink.  The weather is predicted to be perfect, so come on out for fun, late afternoon fall hikes.

Start Time: 3:00 pm Be stretched and ready to go. Thanks!

What to bring: Water, hiking/trail shoes, trekking poles, snack, etc. It may be best to wear layers for comfort.

Located at the Visitor Center.

Weather: If there are thunderstorms we may take cover, but the hikes will be a go.

Admission: There is an $8.00 admission for non-members to get into CNC. If you decide to sign up to be a member, you may apply that amount to your membership.  The trails are well groomed and a nice balance of hills and beauty.  Well worth becoming a member.  ( $35 per year for single membership, $70 for family and $20 for Add-a-guest).

Very challenging! Didn't realize that hiking would be that much work. Definitely will come back.

Looks like the temperature will be in the mid-30's with rain/snow mix. Our first snowy hike!

Hello! I'm signed up to hike. I've never been to the CNC. I can Google directions, but I was wondering if there is a specific spot where you guys meet. Thanks! Doug

Yeah Donna! I was glad to see your name and look forward to hiking with you. I have realized I am not so much a "back packer" as I am the back of the pack, Hahaha. At least Kyle will get a little break from babysitting me.
