Conditioning Hikes at the CNC on Saturdays in Nov. Hike 5 or 6 Brisk Paced Miles

Get ready for the holidays with these conditioning hikes (expect to sweat).   These hikes are for those who desire five or six mile brisk paced hikes with hills and steps and fields and streams.  One group will hike a quicker pace for 6 miles. There will only be a couple 3 minute breaks along the way to change layers, stretch or catch a drink.  Be prepared for a good workout and chilly morning temperatures.

Start Time: 10:00 am Be stretched and ready to go. Thanks!

What to bring: Water, hiking/trail shoes, trekking poles, snack, etc. It may be best to wear layers for comfort.

Restrooms: Located at the Visitor Center.

Weather: If there are thunderstorms we may take cover, but the hikes will be a go.

Admission: There is an $8.00 admission for non-members to get into CNC. If you decide to sign up to be a member, you may apply that amount to your membership.  The trails are well groomed and a nice balance of hills and beauty.  Well worth becoming a member.  ( $35 per year for single membership, $70 for family and $20 for Add-a-guest).

Was a nice day for our hike, some sun would have made it better! Some of us were going to rake(blow) leafs then have a glass of wine! I might do that also, sounds good.

Yes, indeed! Did just that. The back of my yard is beautiful, enjoyed a wonderful sauna and shower, just sipping the wine, and fixin to watch football! The hike was a great start to the day. Life is good!

The "medium pace"workout pushed me to my limits. Friendly fellow hikers and Mary is an excellent leader.
