New connector trail between Lunken and Armleder Park

The new connector trail is open between Lunken Airport Pathway and Armleder Park. This will also be a segment of the bike trail from downtown Cincinnati to the Little Miami bike trail. We'll walk at a brisk pace, 6.4 miles starting at the Lunken softball field parking lot, traversing the northern Lunken loop to the new pathway to Armleder Park and hike the Armleder 2-mile loop and back to the Lunken softball field parking lot. Plan on two hours minimum. The surface will be hard asphalt with two short, steep hills. Restrooms and water fountains are available at Armleder Park and the whole trail is wheel chair friendly. Pets are also welcomed.
Recommend to dress for hot and sunny conditions and bring along water and a snack.
One historical note, the connector trail literally goes down the middle of the old Beechmont Dragway / Dragstrip. http://home.fuse.net/kewendel/QCM_TV_Beechmont_Dragway.html

Connecting the two trails provides more options as to the length of your walk/bike ride.
