Caesar's Creek State Park, Germantown Dam MetroPark and Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve.
What is your craziest hiking memory (or "have you ever been chased by a bear")
I would need to be sitting around a campfire and get a little prodding to tell my crazy hiking memories!

If it is the same Niekamps, they used to call me Horse Feathers. My Mom is from a Rindler (Burtke) from Coldwater and her sister lived in St. Henry about a block or two from the Niekamps. I loved visiting them.

Hey Andy, Do you have relatives from St. Henry, OH? I knew some Neikamps from there and think they may be shirttail cousins.

These are not backpacking tents. They would be good for car camping. One tent is a 6 person tent and the other a 4 person tent. Unless you have a pack mule these would be hard to pack....lol

Hey Andy....I would love to be able to trade my Whisperlite, but sold it on geartrade.com. Although, I do have several larger Eureka tents I would be willing to donate to a group. Let me know if you know of any group that might like them.

Wow. You hiked the WHOLE Trail??? I have been researching it and I can say...there are parts of it that look pretty challenging. I have been trail running but I recently got into hiking so I am kind of a newbie. Ohio has some great places to explore.

Tire Clean up Update - Dragons tickets
Andy, As a thank you to our group for cleaning up all those tires, Montgomery County Solid Waste has sent me 10 Dragons tickets for Saturday, July 7 at 7:00 p.m. Actual seats and not just the grassy area. I am contacting everyone who came to the cleanup. Those who contact me first will get tickets until they run out. If you do want one or a pair, I will mail them to you. Would like any?
